This leaflet was not published until
after the demise of the Civil Defence Corps, but is included here for
the sake of completeness. It was published in 1981 and was to advise the
public on building nuclear shelters. The leaflet was not issued to the
public but could be purchased if people knew about it (nobody told
them), it has been suggested that it might have been issued generally if
the international situation merited it, in other words during the
Transition To War period.

example constructing a fallout room and a refuge. In 1968 the Corps was
disbanded, and no replacement was produced for the use of the public
